Dreams being realized.

Alright, this video is a little dark, but on Saturday night I discovered the Northside Tavern and instantly fell in love. Danced my little heart out too:

Seriously though, for the longest time I didn't have much of anything to say about Atlanta...didn't have my spots, didn't feel at home, and basically wasn't sure why I was here, but then *BAM* it all fell into place in a matter of weeks. Well, I'm sure it was a bit more gradual than that, but it sure does feel that fast! Since the last week of May I have been having the time of my life in this lovely city, and can't imagine the end being in sight. I've met a slew of amazing folks, fell in step with my musical muse and started recording my very first album, which is going splendidly I might add! Pat Brooks, the guy responsible for the Brock Scott recordings, is and has been the best person I've ever worked with on my songs. Seriously, the guy has an ear for music and just so happens to understand what makes my musical clock tick! I just can't explain in mere words how excited I am about this project. While we were recording three part harmonies the other day and I couldn't help but think: dreams are being realized! My heart has been racing constantly, and I have to admit that it's a kick ass feeling.

Oh and while we're on the topic of things happening. Do come to another show I'm in this Friday at Eyedrum! Three pieces of mine were selected to be a part of FORM-a book published through Williams & England Design that focuses on independent artists in Atlanta. Show starts at 8pm. Sweet!

Oh and my good friend, Jay Fox, had a solo show this past weekend and I wanted to share a few photos of his lovely work:

Simply gorgeous prints. Alright, that's it for me. Don't forget to come to Eyedrum this Friday!
